AP Chemistry

AP Chemistry is an advanced general chemistry course for high school students. It is taught at the level of college chemistry courses and typically relies on a college-level textbook. Success in an AP-level course can bolster your college applications and can earn you credit or advanced-standing once you arrive at college. AP Chemistry is a challenging course, however, and a student's ability to succeed on the AP exam is highly dependent on the instruction he or she has received.

Many years ago, when Justin was taking AP Chemistry, he was in a class in which, year after year, about 70% of the students received a 5 on the AP exam. Almost all other students would receive a 4. Shortly after that, he tutored a student in a different school for an AP Chemistry class in which typically one student in the entire class would get a 5 on the AP exam. What was the difference between these two classes? The students weren't substantially different - both schools were public schools in neighboring suburbs. The difference was the teachers. Success on the AP Exam requires that you succeed on a standardized exam and means that your teacher needs to have provided you with the skills necessary for success.

Justin knows first-hand the importance of having a good teacher, and he can help you succeed in AP Chemistry. With over a decade of experience teaching and tutoring general chemistry at all levels, he can provide you with the skills and techniques that you need.
